Buckner Homestead Heritage Foundation

The Buckner Homestead and orchard are located deep in the North Cascades of Washington State at the head of 55-mile long Lake Chelan.

Now within the North Cascades National Park Service Complex and managed as part of the Lake Chelan National Recreation Area, the homestead and orchard are open to the public and are supported by the Foundation so as to preserve and share this important part of American history.

Why get involved? You can protect and conserve the historic Buckner Orchard and Ranch. You can receive updates on Foundation and NPS activities benefiting the Ranch. You leave a legacy for future generation to understand and enjoy.

The Buckner Homestead Heritage Foundation has been organized to operate exclusively for educational, scientific, artistic, literary, and charitable purposes relative to the care and preservation of the Buckner Homestead and Orchard, located in Stehekin, Washington.

View historic photos of the Stehekin Valley and the people who lived here. See the Buckner family, the orchard and the homestead. And enjoy photos from all four seasons in the North Cascades.
